Our journey towards a more responsible and sustainable future
In today’s world, urgent environmental challenges demand immediate action. Human influence accounts for 100% of the global warming observed these recent years, primarily driven by activities involving fossil fuels usage and deforestation, which continue to intensify climate change worldwide.
The philanthropy project at Arval
In September 2018, BNP Paribas Group signed an agreement on Fundamental Rights and Global Social Framework with UNI Global Union, that promotes fundamental rights for employees and establishes a common social framework for BNP Paribas Group's employees worldwide.
As part of this agreement, the Group undertook to contribute to a more sustainable and more equitable world, in particular with the aim of reaching a total volume of 1 million paid solidarity hours at Group level by devoting a part of their working time to build a more inclusive and environmentally-aware world.
The 1 Million Hours 2 Help (1MH2H) programme is the Arval Corporate philanthropic. The objective is to reach 50,000 solidarity hours performed by employees in all Arval countries during their working time, by 2026. By 2022 the objective has already been achieved with a total of 73,048 hours performed by Arval employees between 2020 and 2024.
