According to the latest Fleet and Mobility Barometer from the Arval Mobility Observatory, based on more than 8,000 interviews with corporate fleet managers, the lack of charging points is the major constraint for using electric vehicles. In response to fleet decarbonisation efforts driven by corporate social responsibility commitments and government regulations, Arval has enriched its range of services to facilitate the adoption of battery electric vehicles. This includes new features in its drivers' mobile app, MyArval for drivers, and additional charging options to address the challenges of on-the-road charging.
The Arval Energy Card is a revamped solution designed to cater to the new multi-powertrain composition of fleets, providing access to over 850,000 charging points across Europe, with the network continuously expanding. This card ensures seamless travel for electric vehicle drivers and facilitates easier, secure, and contactless charging.
The Arval Energy Card offers a comprehensive mobility solution by combining electric charging and service payments into one streamlined system. This simplifies the charging process, supports drivers, and enhances expense management with consolidated invoices and no upfront costs.
This all-inclusive mobility solution is now available in various countries, including France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia and many others to come.
Powering Up: Introducing the Arval EV Route Planner for Seamless Electric Journeys
To complement the Arval Energy Card and offer a comprehensive solution for electric journeys, the enhanced MyArval for drivers app will feature soon the Arval EV Route Planner. This tool meticulously plans optimal routes to charging stations, utilizing real-time information and the vehicle's battery specifications such as charge level and total autonomy. Drivers benefit from access to Arval’s preferred charging networks, ensuring reliable, cost-effective charging solutions. The Route Planner prioritizes trusted, high-quality stations, providing exclusive access to competitive pricing and network prioritization, all within a streamlined and user-friendly interface.
Powering Up: Arval Energy Cable Innovation to replace traditional Charging Stations
Arval, in collaboration with the start-up DiniTech, is experimenting the innovative “NRGkick” Smart cable in Austria which will be named Arval Energy Cable. This cable serves as a replacement for traditional charging stations. This mobile electric vehicle charging solution combines the functionalities of a wallbox into a portable cable system, offering an alternative to traditional charging stations. The NRGkick system supports a wide range of charging capacities and is compatible with various socket types, including domestic plugs. Additionally, the NRGkick app enhances charging experience with intelligent features like time-controlled charging and detailed charging reports. Currently in a test phase, this smart cable promises to simplify and transform the way electric vehicles are charged on the go.
Powering up: Supporting Fleet Managers in transitioning to low carbon mobility
Arval introduces unique features in the brand-new online fleet managers portal MyArval based on its telematic service Arval Connect. Fleet managers can now monitor C02 emissions based on real usage data (energy consumption and mileage), as well as take the right decisions on under-utilised cars or combustion engine vehicles that could be easily substituted by its EV variant.
Fleet managers are now fully empowered to take the right decisions, thanks to unique actionable insights.
By leveraging a comprehensive ecosystem of partners, Arval provides fleet managers with the tools needed to simplify the transition to electric vehicles, driving the change to more sustainable and efficient journeys.
“The future of sustainable mobility lies not just in the quantity of charging points but in smarter, more accessible solutions,” says Alain van Groenendael, Chief Executive Officer. “By offering a wide range of new services, Arval empowers businesses to effortlessly manage on-the-go charging, accelerating their journey towards fleet decarbonisation. Thanks to our consulting STAR Methodology (Strategic Transformation through Actionable Recommendations), our strong network of IT start-ups and our internal charging point experts, we ensure to provide an efficient ecosystem for BEV and hybrid vehicle drivers and fleet managers.
