    baro 2024The Fleet and Mobility Barometer 2024 reveals:Corporates have confidence in the future of fleet, electrification momentum continues, increased interest in mobility solutions implementation and forecasted growth in usage of connected vehicles data.

    The Arval Mobility Observatory, an industry expert in the recording and forecasting of corporate mobility trends, is releasing the results of its latest barometer, an international survey, unique in terms of scope but also in terms of topics discussed. In 2024, more than 8 600 Corporates decision makers were interviewed to gather feedback from 30 countries.

    This year, the annual Fleet & Mobility Barometer is bringing forward six key insights. The results of the Barometer present a unique global snapshot on how these trends compare in the 30 countries surveyed. 

  • 2023 Fleet and Mobility Barometer

    Photo modifiée des baromètresDespite the global climate of uncertainty and inflationary context, companies plan to pursue the growth of their vehicle fleets, focusing on energy transition, connectivity and new mobility solutions. 

     In 2023, a record number of company decision makers were interviewed to gather feedback from 30 countries. For the first time, the barometer includes the Element- Arval Global Alliance countries of USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Mexico.

    The Fleet & Mobility Barometer 2023 indicates five key macro trends for the foreseeable future:

    • Company fleet size to continue to grow or remain stable
    • Full service leasing financing method to continue to grow across countries
    • Energy transition is accelerating
    • Mobility solutions are increasingly being implemented as an add on to company  cars
    • Connected services continue to increase

    Photo barometer 2022In 2022, the Fleet and Mobility Barometer highlights are clearly showing resilience of fleets, new mobility means adoption and commitment to energy transition of companies. Even though the survey once again took place in a climate of uncertainty, the growth prospects of company fleets in general as well as full service lease in particular, remain positive overall. The transition to electrification continues, alternative mobility solutions are confirming existing trends and telematics is increasingly seen as a concrete lever to improve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and safety in companies’ fleets.

    Barometer 2021 pictureThe Arval Mobility Observatory Mobility and Fleet Barometer 2021 puts forward five main trends: (1) Fleet managers remain optimistic about the future; (2) The shift towards electrified vehicles is accelerating at a global level; (3) A major increase in the use of alternative mobility solutions; (4) A continuous dynamic trend for operational (5) More and more connected vehicles are being used. The  2021 study was carried in 20 countries and 5 200 Fleet managers were interviewed.

  • 2020 Fleet Barometer

    Barometer picture 2020The 16th edition of the The Arval Mobility Observatory Fleet Barometer covered for this edition 20 countries and 5 600 fleet managers, highlighting 4 main trends: (1) The shift towards electric vehicles continues to accelerate; (2) Increasing implementation of alternative mobility solutions with 6 out of 10 companies have already implemented alternative mobility solutions for their employees; (3) Operational leasing as main financing method Operational leasing is the solution most often preferred by the larger companies and (4) The main reason for using a telematics based solution is to locate the vehicle (43%). Then the next two most important reasons are improving operational efficiency (35%), closely followed by avoiding non permitted usage of the vehicles (32%).

    Barometer2021 PictureThe results of the 15th edition of the Arval Mobility Observatory European Fleet Barometer – an independent study, carried out in 12 countries (Belgium, Czech Republic, UK, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Luxembourg) covering 3541 fleet managers interviews - raising some interesting and challenging trends for the future of the corporate fleets in terms of mobility and new technologies.

    Barometer 2018 pictureThe 2018 edition of the Fleet Barometer study was carried out in 12 countries (Belgium, Czech Republic, UK, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey) and is highlighting some interesting and challenging trends for the future of the corporate fleets in terms of mobility and new technologies: the interest of fleet managers for mobility services to be implemented in their company is on the increase as well more and more car policies are opened to alternative energies given that the TCO of those is closing in on combustion engine based models.
