OUR STORY

Arval was founded in 1989 and is fully owned by BNP Paribas, within the Group, Arval is part of the Group’s Retail Banking & Services division.

Every day, more than 7,200 Arval employees in 30 countries offer flexible solutions to make journeys seamless and sustainable for our wide range of customers.

OUR ALLIANCE

We are a founding member of the Element-Arval Global Alliance, a worldwide leader in the fleet management industry, with 3 millions vehicles in 50 countries.

OUR JOURNEY

2000-2007

Arval merged with PHH Europe thanks to its international network of key partnerships. In addition, Greenval Insurance was launched to accompany our customers in their journey.

2010-2013

Launch of the Retail segments for SME and Individuals and creation of the Arval Smart Experience in France, a combination of online tools to enrich our customer and driver relationship.

2015-2016

We acquired GE Capital Fleet Services in Europe and launched Arval Active Link, the first integrated offer for telematics on the market. And finally, in 2016, we reached 1,000,000 leased vehicles!

2018-2019

We launched our SMaRT approach to support our customers in their energy transition. In addition, we also joined the Mobility as a Service Alliance (MaaS) to build the foundations for an open market of new mobility services.

2020

Launch of Arval Beyond, our new strategic plan to reflect the evolution of our positionning from car-leasing to mobility including the car.

More than 30 years of growth and innovation

In 1989, when Arval Service Lease France was created, only 6 employees were there and a Citroën Bx was its first leased vehicule. But at this time, the best was yet to come...
