Arval is considered to be a role model in the world of Operational Leasing. Why is this so and what are the implications?

Philippe Noubel - "Nothing happens by chance. For all the actors of our sector, customers, suppliers, manufacturers and leasing companies, Arval has proved to be quite serious.
We are acknowledged as a reliable company with actions that justify our words. In 18 years of activity, we have initiated many advances such as the International Business Office (IBO) and the Corporate Vehicle Observatory (CVO), which have contributed to a clear market and improved services. The positions we have taken, for example, with regard to cross-border lease, have also strengthened this image we are proud to portray.
However, this also involves obligations on our part, firstly in terms of behaviour. Respect and transparency are Arval’s ‘‘trademarks’’ around the world. All our employees are attached to such values."

Concretely speaking, how can Arval’s position as key international player be defined?

Thierry Lachaux - "An open mind and spirit for taking on an international dimension are two shared attitudes that enable us to have a global and proactive vision of our customers’ needs. The development of our international presence is proof of this. It enables us to provide them with assistance as close as possible to their local and international concerns with perfectly tailored solutions, highly consistent services and customised consultancy. The opening of subsidiaries in many countries represents points of growth for us as well as for our customers. The operational launch of two subsidiaries in 2006, Arval Russia and Arval Brazil, strengthen our positions even further. We have also increased our market shares in Europe.
The new subsidiaries planned for 2007, projects currently under way in countries demonstrating strong potential, particularly in Eastern Europe, come to reinforce our international approach."
